Greetings and a very warm welcome to Zilla Parishad Kolhapur!
Corporate Social Responsibility is a unique opportunity provided to the Corporate sector to collaborate with the government in executing the scheme and policies aiming at social welfare. Corporates and Organisations have the potential to boost the development of the society through CSR initiatives as these initiatives can bypass the traditional governmental method of sanctioning and execution to realise the project on ground.
India has come a long way in terms of development post-independence. However, if India envisions welfare for all its citizens, then it is important for the public and private sectors to join hands and collaboratively work towards attaining this vision. I believe private sector possess the expertise and discipline quintessential for execution of social projects extensively and together, public and private sector beholds the power to move mountains. I believe a healthy collaboration between public and private sector organisations can achieve sustainable social welfare in a timely manner.
I am pleased to introduce a Corporate Social Responsibility Cell (CSR Cell) dedicated to provide a collaborative platform to private sector organisations which would ensure an effective collaboration with varied departments of Zilla Parishad Kolhapur and facilitate the process seamlessly. I would urge the private sector organisations to utilise this platform in order to initiate programs and events aiming at welfare of the citizens of Kolhapur.
